I investigated film postcards and how they are used for independent films to help promote the film and the production company. They are usually used for independent films which don't have a lot of marketing like trailers, big posters and many more. Film postcards are just the right size to carry so they are distributed to the public which can help get the word out and promote the film. Also, they can contain lots of information about the film, and other key information whether it is the address, a number or a website and they are very cheap to make. The cost varies depending on the effects that are added to them, the colours and the materials that are also used to make them. But the regular postcard costs just a bit more than a business card.
Below is a film postcard which I will be analysing to understand the effectiveness of it. The film is called Armstrong.
